Dear Esteemed Harbour Masters, Maritime Professionals, Speakers, Delegates and our colleagues from Tanger Med Port. It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we gather for this 14th International Harbour Masters Congress at Tanger Med Port in the beautiful Kingdom of Morrocco. I would like to thank Tanger Med Port Authority, Commandant du Port Kamal Lakhmas and his predecessor Captain Khalid Samir for graciously hosting this congress. I wish to extend a warm and cordial welcome to each of you for the upcoming congress! Set against the backdrop of our vibrant maritime community, this gathering promises to be an enriching experience filled with insightful discussions, collaborative networking, and the exchange of best practices. The maritime arena is changing rapidly as ports’ race to plan and adapt in the face of environmental and digitisation challenges. As guardians of our ports and harbours, your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, safe and secure operations of maritime activities at your respective ports. This congress is designed to serve as a forum where industry leaders, experts, regulators and industry visionaries can converge to share their wealth of knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and collectively address the challenges faced by our dynamic maritime landscape.
